Visit by a top official of ORIX Corporation
Yoshitaka Matsuno, head of the International Business Department at ORIX Corporation (ORIX), Japan recently visited Lanka ORIX Leasing Co Ltd (LOLC), to discuss matters of mutual interest and reaffirm ORIX’s commitment to LOLC on the latter’s 25th anniversary.

He is one of two Directors of LOLC, nominated by ORIX which has a 30 percent stake in LOLC. During the course of his visit, Matsuno met with the Board of Directors, CEO’s and senior management of LOLC and all its subsidiaries and associate companies.

Speaking to the LOLC group, he shared some of the highlights of ORIX’s development over it’s 40 year history, which included ORIX’s venture into Sri Lanka in 1980, to join with the IFC and the Bank of Ceylon in setting up Lanka ORIX Leasing Company Ltd, the pioneering leasing company in the country.

The LOLC group in turn presented the progress, and future plans, of each of its companies. Makoto Shioda, who is ORIX’s nominee as an Alternate Director and who is based in Singapore also visited LOLC with Matsuno.
