Carsons helps develops Hanwella school
Carson Cumberbatch & Co. Ltd has undertaken to develop the Hanwella Rajasinghe Madya Maha Vidyalaya under an initiative by the Ministry of Education where a number of national level schools are identified and the private sector invited to facilitate its development activities.

With the participation of teachers and the OBA of the school the company initiated three important projects Computer Skills Development, Basic English Skills Development and a building project for their aesthetic studies.

The computer skills development project has two phases, one of which has developed the skills of the teacher in computer operations and the second is to impart that knowledge to the students. Some 31 teachers of the school have gone through a 4-month training and they were awarded certificates of completion.

The third project is to facilitate the building project for aesthetic studies. An initial donation towards this project was made recently by Carsons Director Mano Selvanathan.
