September film shower on Rupavahini
Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation will telecast a series of internationally award winning films every Friday at 10.05 pm in the month of September.
'Train to Pakistan' was the very first movie on 1 September. It is based on Kushwanth Singh's popular nove.

This award winning film deals with the conflict in Indo-Pakistan separation. The film heightens the need for a national consensus of peace. The film is subtitled in Sinhala. September-16- ‘The Story of Dinosaur’
'The story of Dinosaur' (Dinosaurayange Kathawa) is a production of Discovery. It highlights the life style and dispersal of Dinosaurs.

September 23- ‘Kulageya’ H. D. Premaratne's popular film 'Kulageya' bagged the Best film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Editing at the 1993 Sarasavi Film Festival. This is the first time this film is being telecast over a TV channel. Kulageya comprises a cast of veteran and popular artistes Lucky Dias, Sriyani Amerasena, Wasanthi Chathurani, Veena Jayakody, Tony Ranasinghe, H. A. Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake and Douglas Ranasinghe.
