Let
others fall for your feet
Everyone loves to have beautiful feet!
What better way to have attractive feet than to do a good pedicure
and pamper your feet.
So
… here are ten steps for beautiful feet:
*
Firstly remove your nail polish using a non-acetone remover.
Why non-acetone? Because acetone dries out your nail and cuticle.
If your nail polish is a dark one, which will not come off easily,
soak a cotton ball in the remover and hold it on the top of the
nail for around 20 seconds.
Now start rubbing across the nail to remove nail polish.
* To
smoothen your heels and to prevent rough spots and calluses use
a foot file.
Remember to use it on dry feet.
* Now,
using a large nail clipper cut nails across.
Then, using a medium grain file, file them into a square shape to
avoid ingrown toenails.
*
The next step is to soak your feet in warm water with the use of
a moisturising product.
Try a few tablespoons of olive oil and a few drops of lavender essential
oil, as an alternative, if you like.
* Your
cuticles will be soft after soaking them, so don’t cut them.
Instead, gently push them back using a cuticle pusher.
* Next,
using a foot scrub, gently exfoliate the tops of your feet.
* Now…
pat your feet dry and then moisturise!
Here is a tip… rub the moisturiser on to your feet at night
and then slip on a pair of socks.
* Wipe
each nail with nail polish remover before you apply the nail polish.
This will make your pedicure last. Doing so, rids the nail bed of
all oil and makes it easier for your polish to hold on, on to the
nail.
* Firstly
apply a thin layer of a base-coat.
The next step is to brush two thin coats of nail polish on your
nails.
Apply one stroke up the left side of the nail and one up the right
then one up the centre.
Want
to add crystals or glitter on to your nails… then refer the
final step.
Now apply a layer of a high gloss top-coat.
A tip for a longer lasting wear, is, when applying the topcoat,
stroke up and over the tip of your nail.
*
If you wear open shoes or slippers often you may want to add some
crystals or glitter on to your toenails!
While nails are still wet, apply a crystal or two or some glitter
nail polish on all your toes.
But
if applying crystals apply them on to your big toe.
Then, paint a top-coat or clear coat over your crystal design.
