Sri
Lankan team wins ACCA award
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK has
announced that ACCA Sri Lanka was chosen from 70 country offices
worldwide as the winner of the 2005 ACCA Chief Executive Award for
Customer Service.
Announcing
the winning team, ACCA Chief Executive, Allen Blewitt said, “The
team award for customer service goes to Ajitha Perera, Brinda Gopal,
Nadi Hewage, Isaac Stephen, Dilani de Alwis, Chaminda Herath and
Shantha Sufilabhai of ACCA Sri Lanka.“In what has proved to
be an extremely challenging year, each member of the team went the
extra mile in their efforts to provide an exceptional service.
This
was evidenced by the constant positive feedback from members and
students, which included being seen as providing service superior
to other professional bodies in the region.”
Manager,
ACCA Sri Lanka, Ajitha Perera said her team was delighted to receive
this accolade from the international body, particularly during a
period of unprecedented growth, when ACCA Sri Lanka’s student
numbers grew from 600 plus in 2004 to some 1,300 students to date.
“Our staff here demonstrate an exceptional level of commitment
in order to provide our members and students with a high level of
service”, she said. “We are also proud to have kept
the Sri Lankan flag flying this year”.
