‘Touch’ it at New Olympia
‘The Touch’ is a stylish contemporary action adventure. It is a tale of legends and myths, a story about a hidden treasure protected by intricate traps and a family who is destined to retrieve it. ‘The Touch’ is now being screened at the New Olympia , Maradana.

The movie brings together the most talented artistes from East and West. The movie stars the Malaysian action heroine Michelle Yeoh, the Australian actor Richard Roxburgh and the soulful British actor Ben Chaplin.

The world-class team worked behind the cameras headed by the Oscar winning Best Cinematographer Peter Pau in the capacity as Director of Photography and as Director of the movie along with Fight Choreographer Philip Kwok of the James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies".

The movie using the finest film-making talents from east and west has created a new level of cinematic excitement for worldwide audiences. It was shot on location in some of the most spectacular and breathtaking landscapes of China, including Tibet, Dun Huang, Qingdao and Beijing.

Its dazzling visual images, sweeping cinematography, astonishing performance and the state-of-the-art action sequences are certainly impressive and a delight to the audiences of all walks of life.

The story line of 'The Touch' goes like this In time of great danger, the Monks of Dun Huang hid the Sharira-relic purported to contain the pure essence of a Holy Man in the Buddhist religion. To protect this greatest of treasures, it was placed where no ordinary human being would ever be able to reach. However, it is destined to happen that someday the Sharira will be recovered.

To ensure that it could be retrieved when such time came, the Monks turned to a family of acrobats. For hundreds of years this family was trained, passing on the skills required to perform the ultimate leap when the time is at hand.
In modern Qing Dao, Yin (Michelle Yeoh) and her brother Tong are the last heirs in this long lineage of acrobats. Being circus performers, they travel throughout the world, entrancing audiences with their stunningly beautiful gymnastic performances.

One day Eric, a man from Yin's past shows up with a Medallion - the Heart of Dun Huang - a key to unlock the secrets, a clue to unveil the legend of the Sharira... Together, they embark on a hazardous journey to rediscover what her ancestors once protected. Following closely on their trail is Karl, a merciless ly unscrupulous rich man who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the valuable treasure.

The quest and chase take them from streets of Qing Dao to the breathtakingly beaufiful deserts of Dun Huang. Who will eventually evade the deadly traps that protect the treasures and retrieve the Shirira.
