C.C.C. School of cricket celebrates 7th anniversary
Colombo Cricket Club's School of Cricket, conducted by Nelson Mendis will be celebrating its 7th Anniversary today at Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Grounds starting at 8.00 a.m.

Full Days Programme has been lined up with Inter-House Six-a-Side Cricket Tournament for all categories of students ranging from 8 years to 20 years to be conducted in 5 Divisions A, B, C, D, & E. Special awards will be made to the Best batsman, Bowler, Fielder and The Man of the Match in all Divisions.

There will be over 160 young cricketers participating for their respective Houses namely, Bradman, Sobers, Tendulkar, and Jayasuriya. Last year the Overall Championship of the Inter House Six-a-Side Tournament was won by Tendulkar House while Bradman House was the Runner- up.

Four House Captains of this year will be Nadeera Seneviratne (Bradman), Chamath Gunaratne (Tendulkar), Bhanuka Rajapakse (Sobers) and Ramindu Jayasinghe (Jayasuriya).

A Parents Vs Students Cricket Match, which is looked forward to with much interest by all, will also add colour to the day's proceedings. A keenly contested tournament with a high standard of cricket is expected with a lot of talented and well trained young cricketers of one of the best Coaching schools in Sri Lanka is celebrating its seventh Anniversary.
