Be privileged at Privilege
The Privilege in Wadduwa is the pioneer all suite boutique hotel in Sr Lanka.
The most unique thing in this hotel is there is no fixed time frame for meals.
‘Any time is meal time. If a guest wants his or her breakfast at 11.00am the staff ready to fullfill the need. Late night diner or a snack at 3.00am is possible here’ said Susil Alwis, the Proprietor of Privilege.

It is an ideal getaway from the hectic city life. Privilege is the place, where visitor can find his own space. Located in a quiet fishing village on the West coast and is about one hour drive from Colombo.

Award winning gourmet chefs specialised in fine dining are in charge of the kitchen. Breakfast is a la carte, lunch is a five course meal and dinner is a gastronomic delight with a seven course meal served with all the flash and flourish due to royalty.

The guests are given a choice of three main courses - vegetarians are especially catered to. However the focal point is flexibility - all you need to do is to inform the chef of individual choice and he will ensure that the meals are prepared and presented just as the guest want them to be.

To complement a perfect meal, a range of exclusive wines and spirits are available with a selection of cigars for those who feel that relaxing with a glass of brandy or port in one hand and an aromatic cigar in the other, is the perfect culmination to perfect meal.

The hallmark of The Privilege is that all its suites are in perfect harmony with the ambiance, and the decor which reflects luxury and gracious living is beautiful.

Privilege has 22 suites and all the suites are equipped with two TV sets with satellite channels, MP3/DVD player, three telephones dedicated fax/modem and individual climate control. Two of its suites have Jacuzzi.

The boutique hotel also has a state-of-the-art business centre, complete with a cyber cafe, library, video conferencing and secretarial services that enable the guests to keep themselves in touch with the outside world if they so desire.

This is definitely not a venue for day trippers or coach loads of fun seekers. There are no buffets or barbecues at The Privilege where the 'Residents Only' rule is applied, simply because this boutique hotel caters exclusively to guests in search of absolute peace and tranquility.

For rejuvenating, visit the Ayurvedic Centre at The Privilege. There is a team of therapists under the guidance of a qualified doctor who would recommend therapies for mind and the body. That would help you to relax and rejuvenate. Yoga and meditation programmes offered by the hotel ensure mental and spiritual peace.

For the fitness freaks there is a fully-equipped gymnasium and a mini golf course to putt around. At The Privilege, the options to relax and unwind are many. There are a number of alcoves and shaded nooks, where you can retire from the 'madding crowd' and get lost in a book or simply indulge in daydreams.

‘We cater to the top end of the market and The Privilege will always be an exclusive hotel for a real relaxation. Most of our sales will be done through the web’ said Ranjaka de Mel, the Manager Marketing of the hotel
