Ajit Jayaratne rejoins Overseas Realty Board
Ajit Jayaratne, who recently relinquished duties as Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Singapore, has been invited to re-join the Board of Overseas Realty (Ceylon) Limited at which Board he served as a Director prior to his Singapore Assignment, the company said.

He is a former Chairman of Forbes & Walker Ltd, the Colombo Stock Exchange and the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Jayaratne currently serves as a director of several companies of the Colombo Fort Land Group, and of Delmege Forsyth & Co. Ltd and of the DFCC Bank Ltd. He was one time a director of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and of the People’s Bank. More recently he was appointed by the Governor of the Central Bank to a High Level Committee to determine a Sovereign Rating for the country.
