Mahinda to present Budget on Thursday
President Mahinda Rajapakse will present his government’s first Budget to Parliament on Thursday. This Budget comes exactly a month after President Chandrika Kumaratunga’s government presented a Budget on November 8, just days before the Presidential election.

The new Budget will include many of the promises that have been made to the people in the President’s election manifesto “Mahinda Chintanaya”.
