‘O Come all Ye Faithful’: Join the Sebastianite Carols
For the third consecutive year the choir of St. Sebastian's College will present the 'Sebastianite Christmas Carols 2005' on December 10 at the College auditorium in Moratuwa from 7.00pm onwards.

The Carol Service accompanied by the Sri Lanka Army Band.
The evening promises to be an entertaining variety of music ranging from well-known carols such as "Once in Royal.." and "Silent Night" to lesser known Carols from Handel's Oratorio "The Messiah".

The evening's line up will include many popular Carols such as "O Come All Ye Faithful" and "Joy to the world". It will also feature traditional English Carols such as "Good King Wenceslas". "While Shepherds Walked" and "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen". The old boys' choir performance of Latin chants such as "Dona Nobis Pacem" and a Spanish Carol (Sancto) will be an added attraction.
There will also be solos and duets of the famous "Jesus Joy of Man's desiring" by J.S. Bach, Franz Shubert's Ave Maria and the popular "Drummer Boy". Three Sinhala carols "Tharaka Piri Dile' and "Natha Kisiwek" composed by Rev. Fr. Prasad Niranjan Fernando and Fr. M. Jayakody's "We Mahimaya" will be performed as well.

The Choir, whose recent achievements include winning the first runner up in year 2004 and 2005 at the Mount Lavinia Rotary Club Choir Competition held at the B.M.I.C.H. and participating at the ‘Vibrant Voices’, ‘Choir Festival 2005’ held at the BMICH which was organized by the Interact Clubs of St. Sebastian's College and St. Bridget's Convent.

Also Sebs Choir was at a guest performance at the "soul sounds' "celebrating wales" concert directed by Soundarie David and has progressed greatly during the past two years. The choir is trained by Rev. Fr. Prasad Niranjan Fernando.
The Chief Guest will be the Apostolic Nuncio for Sri Lanka the most Rev. Dr. Mario Zenari. The choristers welcome all music lovers to be present at this event.
