Sugith bats well for Royal

Only thirteen overs were played on the first day of the Royal-Nalanda encounter at Reid Avenue.

Taking the first lease of the wicket Royal had batted steadily to make 47 for no loss before rained curtailed any further play on the first day. For Royal opener Sugith Senaratne batted with much confidence to remain unbeaten 33 while Malinga Maligaspe was not out on 6.
