A
shower of confetti
Founded in 2005 offering much needed advice to couples, Confetti,
the quintessential magazine for anyone planning a wedding, has just
published its third issue, and is available in stores now. Having
quickly become Sri Lanka’s leading wedding magazine it has
reached out to thousands of engaged couples, offering them real
world sensibility, down to earth editorial content and easy to use
tools.
This
issue is quite possibly the best so far, and has some amazing cakes,
beautiful bouquets and a wealth of fabulous articles that will help
any stressed out bride be a little more relaxed about planning her
special day.
This
magazine has filled that huge gap in the market; most brides have
had to rely on foreign magazines that show some amazing things that
aren’t available here for ideas and inspiration. Confetti
uses local talent and showcases wonderful ideas.
It
brings together specialists in the wedding field, and acts as a
forum for them to give advice and tips on how to organise a fabulous
wedding. From how involved you’d like your mother to be to
how to choose a best man, and a host of other things in between
that you may never have thought about. It really is essential reading.
Confetti
acts as an interactive guide, offering bridal advice on planning
a wedding. There is a new section called the guide, which has a
list of useful numbers from hotels to photographers that will cut
down on the time you have to spend searching through the yellow
pages for what you need.
Many
couples that got married last year used Confetti as a comprehensive
resource for information and services to help plan their weddings
and their future lives together. If you don’t manage to pick
up a copy of the magazine from Keells, Laugfs, Odel or Barefoot,
you can get it at the My Wedding exhibition on at the BMICH from
February 10 to 12.
