Japanese Doll Festival (Hinamatsuri)
One of the most colourful and appealing children's festivals in
the world is Hinamatsuri or Doll Festival, celebrated annually
on March 3.
- Moving
on to an agricultural lifestyle
The pre-historic man followed his life support systems to find
food by hunting, gathering and foraging. Animals were hunted either
individually or collectively. Dead animals were also used as food
by burning in fire.
- Launch
of the Children’s Diary
Plan
Sri Lanka in partnership with Wijeya Newspapers Limited and the
National Institute of Education launched for the first time in
Sri Lanka, a Children's Diary. The event was held at the BMICH
on Tuesday, February 21, 2006.
