Lankan artist Chairs judges panel
Eminent Sri Lankan artist Iromie Wijewardena was elected to Chair the panel of judges at the12th Asian Art Biennial in Decca, Bangladesh from March 5 to 31.
The jury committee comprises Prof. Wu Xiaojiang from China, Le Thong from Vietnam, former Bangladesh Shilpkala Academy Director Syed Jehangir, and Bangladesh art critic Sadique Khan.

Artists from 34 countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Australia, China and Japan are participating at this premier art event of the region. Many well known Sri Lankan artists too are competing at this prestigious art event. The exhibitors are also participating in a seminar where “Gender Perspective in Asian Art” would be the topic of discussion.
