Dharmasena guides Hatton National Bank

HNB defended their modest score of 238 to defeat Seylan Bank by 34 runs in the 13th MCA Premier League tournament cricket match played at Colts grounds. A knock of 59 by Kaushalya Weeraratne for the losers was overshadowed by some fine bowling by Sajeewa Weerakoon who had a match figure of 4 for 37 and with support coming from Kumar Dharmasena gave the HNB side a win in the 47th over.

HNB - 238 in 49.5 overs (Saman Jayantha 44, Prasanna Jayawardena 30, Shanuka Dissanayake 29, Kumar Dharmasena 48 n.o.; Lasith Fernando 3 for 30, Ganganath Ratnayake 3 for 38)

Seylan Bank - 204 in 46.1 overs (Kaushalya Weeraratne 59, Thilan Samaraweera 39, Upul Tharanga 35, Lasith Fernando 23.; Sajeewa Weerakoon 4 for 37, Kumar Dharmasena 3 for 29, Shanuka Dissanayake 2 for 35).
