way other than through dialogue say Church leadersThe National Christian Council of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) has asked the
Government and the LTTE to engage in self scrutiny and shift to
a more transparent relationship in dealing with immediate ground
realities without waiting till the Geneva talks begin, given the
urgency of the situation in the country.
 In
a statement, the Heads of the NCCSL said that the sudden and totally
unexpected postponements of the second round of talks is a huge
disappointment to all the peoples of Sri Lanka and that there can
be no way other than dialogue to bring justice and peace to all
              communities. The
NCC also condemned the killings in recent days and said they must
be immediately stopped in the name of common humanity. “The
sanctity of all life must be respected and we must find civilised,
democratic ways of addressing our disagreements and resolving our
              problems,” the statement added. |
