Amarapathuma stands out

Twenty-three-year old N. Amarapathuma stood out with a gross score of 65 at the Monthly Medal – the Envoy Golf Classic, sponsored by Hameedia, at the RCGC yesterday.

There was keen competition with ten Sri Lanka pool players, pitted their skills against an international field in ideal conditions.

Close on Amarapathuma’s heels were M. Arumugam (69 Gross) and J.M.D. Indika (69 Gross) as they fought a relentless battle to come on top.
Amarapathuma, a picture of concentration won the pool contest with four strokes ahead Arumugam and Indika. The trio are from the RCGC.

Twenty-eight-year old Arumugam, with a better back nine, emerged runner up among the Sri Lankan poolists.

Scottish golfer Stuart Ritchie (69) wonthe A Division Monthly Medal Envoy Golf Classic with one stroke over Mohan Ratnayake (70). Ritchie has been a consistent golfer in the local scene.
