Intl. School outclass Bens to win Under-15 Cager final
Colombo International School (CIS) has become a
driving force in junior basketball fare in the school circuit.
Fast, fitter and with better court-craft CIS led by Vijitharan Ranjan
dominated to win the Colombo North Under-15, basketball championship.
In the finals they beat St. Benedict’s College by 76-39 goals,
at the Kotahena courts.

This tournament was organized by the Sri Lanka
Basketball Association. The final was hosted by St. Benedict’s
College.
Eight teams drawn from Colombo North took part. They are St. Benedict’s,
Ananda, D.S. Senanayake College, Gateway Int. School, Nalanda, La
Salle, St. Joseph’s and CIS.
In the quarter-finals CIS outclassed Gateway International 77-23.
In the semi-final CIS defeated Nalanda 76-50 in a keen contest.
Best offensive player – Imran Abdulla (CIS), Most valuable
player – Neshantha Jayamaha (CIS). - BW
