TAASL membership
The fifth Staff Development Programme conducted
by SriLankan Airlines for members of the Travel Agents Association
of Sri Lanka (TAASL) was held from March 13-18.
This intake included 23 participants from TAASL member companies.

The Awards Presentation of the Program was held
recently at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Shehani Alphonso of Global Village Travels & Tours (Pvt.)
Ltd. topped the batch by obtaining the highest score.
The Staff Development Program is conducted subsequent to a Memorandum
of Understanding (MOU) entered into between SriLankan Airlines and
the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka to train up to 200 staff
members on Fares and Ticketing.
Mr. Nihal Perera, Immediate Past President of TAASL and Ranjeewa
Kulatunga, Manager HRD & Training of SriLankan Airlines have
signed this MOU.
Ms. Kanchana Malluwawadu, Chief Trainer of SriLankan Airlines, conducts
this training program, which has trained approximately 125 staff
of TAASL member companies, to date.
The next program is due to be held from July 03-8, 2006.
