Obeysekera case: hearing tomorrow

The case regarding the fraudulent claim to the ancestral property belonging to the late philanthropist Fredrick Obeysekera was postponed for tomorrow.

Former military spokesman Sumedha Perera and former caretaker Sarath Wijewardena are accused of producing forged documents claiming that the property was gifted to them by Mr. Obeysekera.

During the hearing foreign handwriting expert Professor P. Chandrasekera giving evidence stated that the signature on the alleged documents proved to be forged.

High Court Judge Rohini Walgama postponed the hearing for tomorrow.

Senior State Counsel S.Thurairajah for the prosecution Attorney Ranjith Jayasuriya P.C appeared for the aggrieved party.
