The Formula Plus motor
show held at the BMICH during the first week of October
was fun, but this writer, for one, thinks that a few
salient facts shouldn't be buried under all the good
feeling the event generated.
After numerous complaints
from the residents in the Wattala area the ST-1 visited
the area in the aftermath of the recent incessant rains
that lashed Sri Lanka and especially the Gampaha district
where Wattala is in an integral part.
Come October, locally the motor buffs
were given the rare opportunity of witnessing best of
the best of the vintage and the modern road burners at
the Formula World Motor Show held at the BMICH.
Land Rovers of all
models and colours, spanning fifty years of manufacture,
filled the Frontier Automotive showroom at the start if
the 'Land Rover Family Fun Drive'. Held on the 30th of
September and the 1st of October, this fun drive organized
by the Sri Lanka Land Rover Owners' club together with
Frontier Automotive proved to be a great way of once again
displaying and experiencing Land Rover's superior performance.
