Nawaloka Deputy Chairman appointed to Galadari board

Jayantha Dharmadasa, Deputy Chairman and CEO, Nawaloka Hospitals has been appointed to the Board of Galadari Hotels [Lanka] Ltd, the hospital company said last week.

Dharmadasa is the Deputy Chairman and CEO of Nawaloka Hospitals and is on the board of a number of companies including Nawaloka Polysacks, Nawaloka Aviation, Nawaloka Hotels, Nawaloka Industries, Nawaloka Construction, Nawaloka Timber Stores, Nawaloka Housing, Nawaloka Machinery, Ruhunu Hospitals, Nawakrama Private Limited, Ashford International amongst others.

He is the President of the Asian Cricket Council and has been involved with local cricket for a number of years and is the Chairman of the Interim Committee for Sri Lankan Cricket and has a long history of association with the sport. He is also an avid promoter of the local arts and is Chairman of Cinestar, and Chairman of the Outstanding Song creator's Association.

The Nawaloka Hospitals Group has had interests in Galadari Hotels for a period of over one year and has a 24% equity stake in the company.
