Air Arabia receives Merit Award for the CAPA Low Cost Airline of the Year

Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation declares Air Arabia as one of the world’s best LCC in 2006

Air Arabia has received a Merit Award for topping the category CAPA Low Cost Airline of the Year 2006 for its strong strategic contribution to the aviation industry, a press release said. Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) is a worldwide name as the leading specialist aviation consulting services provider, airline conferences organizer and aviation news and publisher of analysis provider in the Asia Pacific region, the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East.

Air Arabia’s Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Thani said: “We are delighted a worldwide recognized organization such as CAPA rewarded us for our contribution in revolutionizing international aviation in the Middle East”.

Accepting the award on behalf of the airline, CEO of Air Arabia, Adel Ali also added, “Air Arabia is honored to be CAPA’s first choice as the low cost airline of the year. Aside from having achieved top spot in this category, the airline is delighted that a reputed organization such as CAPA has made this tribute to Air Arabia’s success.”
