Enchanting exhibition

Designing stamps with themes familiar to Sri Lankans is Palitha Gunasinghe’s speciality, while he also has a penchant for water-colour drawings capturing the enchantment of the countryside.
Thirty of these paintings of people at work, landscapes and different facets of nature are on display at his sixth solo exhibition today at Hotel Thilanka, Kandy .
In painting figures, Palitha makes sweeping brush strokes producing vague forms which do not have distinct features, with the characteristics shown in a semi-realistic manner
