MAS Intimates wins HSBC Quiz competition

MAS Intimates won the third annual HSBC Global Markets Quiz 2006 held in Colombo recently.

Twenty-five teams took on the challenge of wits and knowledge with a sense of humour as they battled for the grand prize – five return tickets and holiday packages to Bangkok in partnership with SriLankan Airlines. In second place, winning a weekend package for five to Kandalama, was Stretchline.

The quiz took the participants through five rounds of questions on General Knowledge, Audio-Visual, History, Art and Literature and Sports, interspersed with fun rounds that had them laughing their way through funny questions. The final round (which was not counted in the score sheet) was on treasury products.

Sachith Perera, Treasurer, HSBC Sri Lanka, said, “The Global Markets Quiz was begun in 2003. It was a bold step for us then because nobody else had thought of having an event of this nature and the incredibly positive response from our customers was indication enough that the gamble had paid off handsomely.”The annual quiz is a departure from the traditional customer relationship building exercises practiced in the corporate world. In addition to being an interesting and enjoyable way to meet and interact with customers, it is also part of the bank’s efforts to disseminate product knowledge to key market players.
