Ball point art exhibition

Chandana Ranaweera will hold his eighth solo ball point art exhibition on December 15 at 4.00 p.m. at Alawwa Mahagedara (behind People's Bank).The exhibition will also be open on the 16th and 17th. Arts advisor of Royal International School Kurunegala, S.M. Jayatilake and Sinhala Language advisor of Kurunegala Maliyadeva College, B.M.Ratnayake will be the chief guests at the opening ceremony.

Toy exporters sale

Interested in buying creative toys this Christmas? By popular demand, the annual sale of export quality toys organised by the members of the Toy Exporters Association will be held once again on Saturday, December16th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bishop's College Auditorium. A wide array of products - Wooden toys by Excel Toys, Ancel, Asian Toy Company, Timberlina Ltd., DSL Lanka, Simplex and Edna Exports and Fabric and plush toys from Orchid Agencies and Rebecca Designs will be on display.

Seasonal sale

An exhibition and sale of hand embroidered / painted kurtas as well as oil paintings, gifts and household items for the festive season will be held on December 16, from 10 a.m. onwards at 38, Rosmead Place, Colombo 7 (close to Musaeus College) and on December 17 at 62, De Soysa Road, Rawatawatta, Moratuwa (opposite Palliyagodella Temple).

Each kurta is exclusively and intricately designed with unique colours of fabric/ silk paints, thread, sequins and beads to suit any occasion.

DBU Christmas sale

The Dutch Burgher Union will hold their Christmas sale today, Sunday, December 10th from 10.00 a.m. onwards.
Gift items, garments, sarees, costume jewellery and a special stall with all the home made Burgher delicacies, including lamprais, broeder, foguetti, boroa, and a wide range of sweets and savouries, ginger beer, milk wine and a whole lot more will be available.

Lecture by Ameena

Off the cuff: The Joys of Writing and the Perils of Publishing, features Ameena Hussein in conversation with Shyamala Gomez on December 13 from 5.30 - 7.00 p.m. at the United States-Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission Auditorium, 7 Flower Terrace (off Flower Road), Colombo 7.
