Imesh stretches Udangawa

The Sri Lanka Open Squash Nationals staged at the Gymkhana Club International last evening provided keen fare in the women’s pre-quarter finals with N. Udangawa overcoming Imesh de Silva 10-9, 5-9, 10-8, 9-6.

Nilruk Soysa, a junior national player lost to Eranga Amunugama in straight sets.

This year Bank of Ceylon are the co-sponsors. The contest will take a break for the festive season and will re-commence on December 28 at 5 p.m.

The finals will be on December 30.
