‘Dekona Gini’: Tale of humour and suspense

"Dekona Gini’ a mixture of both humour and suspense directed by Bandula Withanage is being telecast every Sunday at 9.30pm on Swarnavahini.

The cast includes Nihal Fernando (Derik), Chandanie Seneviratne (Anoma), Ananda Athukorale (Victor), Semini Iddamalgoda (Jenni), Roshan Wimalasena (Heshan), Shashilaa Rukshi (Rozan), Mahinda Tennekoon (Bandara), Upali Bandara(Cyril) Anura Waragoda (Samaraweera).

The script is by Nalaka Withanage while the production is by Bandula Weerakkody.

The plot is based on two university students, Heshan and Rozan who reads for the degree in two separate private universities. Most of their learning is done through internet chat and e-mail. One fine evening both of them meets each other through internet and falls in love with each other. While coming to know each other, they discover that their fathers' names and the professions are the same.

Derik who has two wives is the father of both Heshan and Rozan. When Derik learns that his daughter and son have fallen in love with each other he meets his best friend, Victor and reveals his secret about his two marriages. Then he requests Victor to help him to break the love affair between his son and daughter.

In the process of winning the hearts of the two wives and breaking the love affair between Heshan and Rozan, Derik, tells a good amount of lies to all, simultaneously. Owing to his actions he has to face many problems and his friend Victor too gets involved. Gradually everything leads to a humorous climax through ridiculous situations.

The flavour of humour and suspense will be a classic entertainment for the TV audience undoubtedly.
