Minister grounds Watawala

Board of Investment (BOI) Director General Lakshman R. Watawala has been directed to stay for the Development Forum meeting commencing in Galle tomorrow, instead of attending the SECA sessions in India.

Enterprise Development Minister Rohitha Bogollagama confirmed to The Sunday Times that Mr. Watawala had been told to stay on for the meeting.

“We have decided to send a team headed by a BOI director as the Director General is needed for the Development Forum meeting”, he said.
