Ricky Nelson will be featured on 'Musical Gems' on English Services of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation on Sunday, 28 January at 1.30 to 2.30 pm.

Popular radio and TV presenter Bevil Palihawadana along with the President of the local Ricky Nelson Fan Club, Jayaratne Perera will be sampling some of those million selling hits by this legendary singer during the hour.

Ricky Nelson, 'Teen Idol of the Century' gifted with his highly personalized style and amazing versatility, blazed the trail of early rock and roll, and then lead the way in California Country Rock. By the time he was only 21 years old, he had sold more than 36 millions records, good many of them going on top of Billboard charts. Reaching the pinnacle of stardom, in 1986 he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame. He proved himself to be one of America's all-time attractions, having millions of fans the world over.
