Rangiri Dambulla Central College – Dambulla, who have been on a winning spree, qualified for the final of the under 13 Division 4 inter school cricket tournament, when they beat Telijjawila Central College – Akuressa by seven wickets in the semi final encounter played at the Karandeniya Central College grounds on Monday.

Rangiri Dambulla Central winning the toss and deciding to field bowled out the opponents for 108 in 30.2 overs. They then knocked off the required runs in 18 overs losing just three wickets in the process.

An unbeaten half ton (59) by Rangiri Dambulla Central’s skipper Isuru Kulatunga, which had six sixers and four 4’s highlighted this fixture.

Scores: Telijjawila Central – 108 all out 30.2 overs (Gayan Hasaranga 20, Anushka Rasanga 19 and Dinesh Rakshitha 15. Shanaka Hettiarachchi 4 for 22, Shashika Madubhashana 3 for 19 and Isuru Kulatunga 2 for 29).

Rangiri Dambulla Central – 112 for 3 wickets in 18 overs (Isuru Kulatunga 59 not out, Shanaka Hettiaarchchi 21 and Nuwan Sachintana 18. Anushka Rasanga 2 for 23).

Rangiri Dambulla Central will now meet the winners of the other semi final clash between Seethadevi M.V. Avissawella and Bombuwala Maha Vidyalaya in the final.
