Restive South Asia holds summit, but unity elusive |

NEW DELHI, Saturday (Reuters) - South Asian leaders meet on April 3 and 4 at a summit aiming to boost trade in a region that accounts for a fifth of the world's population, but real progress is unlikely with domestic turmoil dominating national agendas.
The seven members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) are Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Bhutan, the Maldives and Bangladesh. |

LOS ANGELES, Saturday (AP) - Marie Osmond and husband Brian Blosil are divorcing after 20 years of marriage, the pair has announced.
''Though our marriage is ending, we continue to have a very amicable relationship. Our marriage has always been a faithful one and neither of us is assigning fault for the divorce,'' they said in a statement released Friday by Osmond's publicist. |

Scotland Yard to join Woolmer murder probe |
KINGSTON, Saturday (AFP) - A team of British detectives is expected to arrive in Jamaica next week to assist in the Bob Woolmer murder investigation, two weeks after the Pakistan cricket coach was found strangled in his hotel room.
Jamaica deputy police commissioner Mark Shields confirmed to AFP that officers from Scotland Yard's Special Crime Directorate had been sought in order to “review” the progress of the murder investigation. |
