Lanka Bell’s new telephone directory

Lanka Bell has begun the distribution of its 2006-07 telephone directory, through the company’s network of business offices islandwide.

The first copy of the 1426-page book was presented to Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) Director General Kanchana Ratwatte by Lanka Bell Managing Director Suren Goonewardene, the company said. Comprising a Business and a Residential section, the more than two inches thick volume is an important database, representing the second largest group of fixed line phone users in the country, the company said.
