SLC’s Kandy development programme goes on

The Galagedera MV Grounds, in Kandy, has become one of the main centres of cricket in the Kandy area. Even the P. Saravanamuttu Trophy matches in the district are now being conducted at this venue.

In their bid to develop the facilities at this venue, Sri Lanka Cricket is now putting up two sight screens and a scoreboard according to a spokesman of Sri Lanka Cricket.

The other grounds, besides the Dharmarajah College, ground which is already under a development project are – the Vidyartha College Grounds which will under go a front leveling and expansion programme while the Kingswood College ground will also get two sight screens and a scoreboard while the Wickremabahu MV ground at Gampola is earmarked to be developed with a matting wicket.
