Teachers complain of indifferent regional officers
By Nandana Kehelgamuwa
Teachers working in the Gampola educational circuit complain that the officers in the region education office pay little heed to their complaints.
They say they are sometimes forced to make several trips to make an appointment and when they do get one there is no guarantee that they would be able to meet an officer to voice their professional problems.
They also say they have to take leave as they can meet the officers only on week days, but still they pay scant respect to their needs when they get to the regional office.
When we contacted an assistant education director in Gampola he declined to comment. |
