People’s Bank overall champions

People’s Bank emerged Champions by obtaining 90 points at the Inter Bank All-Island Sports Festival, which was conducted by the People’s Bank Sports Club. Bank of Ceylon emerged first runner up by obtaining 72.5, while Hatton National Bank became the second runner up, obtaining 70 points.

The sports festival was worked out in seven disciplines, which consisted of 20 events. There were 18 state and private banks which participated at this prestigious event, with more than 1200 members.

The sports festival, which commenced in February, included games such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Volleyball, Netball, Six-a-side Leather-ball Cricket, Seven-a-side Football.

A grand ceremony, organized by the People’s Bank Sports Club, was held recently at the Trans Asia Hotel to award these winners.
