My worst subject at school

9 – 11 years

I study nine subjects at school. Most of them are very interesting. The subjects I learn at school are English, Maths, Music, Religion, Geography, Physical Education, History and Science. The teachers who teach these subjects are very kind and active. But there is one subject I don't like. Don't be surprised, that is Science.

My Science teacher tries her best to teach me Science. When she enters the class I get a headache. Sometimes she helps me personally. But I hate Science. I don't like to draw diagrams and to write scientific words.

At home, my mother helps me to write science lessons. She tries to explain to me the words and diagrams. My mother always tells me to keep my science notebook neat and clean.

My mother tells me without doing Science I cannot be a doctor.

The Silent Night Hunter

On silent night wings,
Over silent night things,
A barn owl glides,
Soaring high, soaring low,
Precious time it abides.

A harvest mouse patters out of her nest,
Of all the nights to come out this was not the best,
For already decided tonight is her fate,
And by the time she notices, it is too late.

On this dark, silent night,
With the heavens in sight,
On silent night wings,
Over silent night things,
A barn owl has hunted,
For her nestlings' sake,
Leaving nothing in her wake,
But the wind.
