Elvis Presley, 'The Artist of the Century': He came in like a Pan American Flash. The impact of his arrival sent vibrations in every direction. The existed music scene buckled before him, for he changed it forever setting it on a new course.
He was rock's first superstar, rock's first rebel, rock's first innovator, rock's first sex symbol, rock's first stylist; and everything everyone that followed owed a debt to him.
He outsold, out-filmed, out-rocked, and outraged more people than any other entertainer. He is still the most-photographed person on Earth. If his records are arranged edge-to-edge at the Equator, it will make six circles around our planet Earth - on other singer or group (living or dead) has come anywhere that staggering figure. At the turn of the last century, he was universally declared as the ‘Artiste of the Century’ and still considered to be the "Most Important Figure in the Music Industry".
