Malaysian Festival at Galadari

'The Festivals of Malaysia', Malaysian Food and Cultural Festival to mark 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Sri Lanka Diplomatic Relations is now being held at the Galadari Hotel till Tuesday, 11 September. 'The Festivals of Malaysia' is organized by Galadari Hotel in association with the Malaysian High Commission in Sri Lanka and the Malaysian Tourist Board. This is to coincide with the commemoration of 50th Anniversary of Malaysia's Nationhood. To celebrate this grand event, many activities have been arranged at the Hotel during the Malaysian Food and Cultural Festival at the hotel's Coffee shop.

The festival has taken a carnival air with colourful Malaysian decorations, lightings and cultural dancers brought down from Malaysia for this Promotion.

The stalls display Malaysian products of arts and crafts along with Malaysian cuisine. The other attractions of the festival are the 'Malaysian Second Home Seminar' and 'Malaysian Education Exhibition' which are being held at the Galadari Hotel simultaneously.

A sixteen member traditional Malaysian cultural and dance troupe is in action every night during this period at the center lobby presenting Malaysian Culture, Dance and Songs. Two Chefs of repute and the ingredients for the food festival were brought down from Malaysia to add authenticity to the food served daily during this festival.
