STF chief Lewke replaced

Police Special Task Force (STF) Commandant DIG Nimal Lewke was removed from his post on Friday night. The move came on the orders of Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. DIG Lewke is being replaced by DIG Mahinda Balasuriya. The STF which was under the Defence Ministry has also been brought under the Inspector General of Police.
