Memories of a childhood
Awaken my mind
Those that I wish
To shut away forever

It seems not that far
Just only half a century
When holding your hand
I walked in bliss

Little did I know
What life held for me
But you did your best
To shape it for me

It’s been awhile now
Since we parted ways
A year to be true
Has gone by since then

In the month of September
We will give thanks
To a meaningful life
With a blood donor campaign
