Former Pramuka Bank opens in November

The Sri Lanka Savings Bank Ltd, formerly Pramuka Bank, is preparing to reopen next month before the presentation of the budget.

Bank Director Palitha Gamage, also President of the Pramuka Bank Depositors Association, told The Sunday Times FT that the government has set up the Sri Lanka Savings Bank after listening to the appeals of around 16,000 account holders of the collapsed Pramuka Bank to redress them.

All properties, assets, liabilities, rights, contracts, etc. relating to the business of Pramuka Bank are now a part of the business of Sri Lanka Savings Bank Ltd.
