Indian firm shifting some IT ops to Sri Lanka

Aeturnam Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, an IT services company, is to implement an ambitious expansion programme with an investment of over US$ 1 million next year. US-based Chief Executive Officer of the company Rajat Bhakri told a media conference in Colombo on Wednesday they plan to shift more of their operations to Sri Lanka from the Indian state of Bangalore. It was convened to announce future plans and strategies after the completion of a successful year in their local operations. He added that the present work force of 50 will be increased by three fold under the expansion programme.

Aeturnum Inc, headquartered in Westford, MA has been providing software development and IT consulting services to North America since 2001 and initiated operations in Sri Lanka in November 2006 as part of its global expansion initiative. Since then Aeturnum Lanka (Pvt) Ltd functions as a subsidiary of Aeturnum Inc and is engaged in providing a variety of software services. By leveraging the ethos of hard work, technical curiosity and a passion for success of the Sri Lankan and American software industry professionals, Aeturnum has grown at a much faster pace than would be possible by limiting operations to either one of the shores.

Over the past year, US operational revenue has grown by over 115 per cent.
