Virtusa CEO honoured with TiE-Boston IPO Award

Kris Canekeratne

Virtusa Corp., a global IT services company that provides IT consulting, technology implementation and application outsourcing services, said last week that its Chairman and CEO Kris Canekeratne has been awarded a TiE-Boston IPO Award in recognition of the company’s successful IPO in August of this year.

“I am honored to receive this recognition from TiE-Boston,” said Canekeratne, adding “This award is a true reflection of the dedication and commitment of thousands of Virtusans who have helped build a terrific company. They all work continuously to stretch the boundaries of what is possible and deliver outstanding value to our clients—all while building a culture of superior performance.”

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) is the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization for entrepreneurs. The Boston chapter was founded ten years ago and today stands at 800 members. The IPO Award will be presented at TiE-Boston’s annual sponsor dinner on November 8.
