Promoted as Superintendent of Police

Senarath Padmalal Sandungahawatte was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police recently.

Mr. Sandungahwatte who is in charge of the security division of the Speaker joined the service of the Special Task Force as a Sub Inspector of Police and has served in several operational areas during his career including Ampara, Vavuniya and Batticaloa.

An old boy of Nalanda College, Colombo he has also followed courses on VIP security in the USA and has participated as a monitoring officer at the course on VIP security held at Gurgon, India.
