Sri Lankan Master Minds 2007 a big success

The 14th Sri Lankan Master Minds – quiz competition, was held on the 7th October 2007 at the Grand Ball Room of Waters Edge, drawing the participation from Mercantile sector, Banks, Schools and Individual Groups. Each group consisted of eight participants and 44 groups participated for the quiz programme this year.

Mr. Ruwan Senanayake’s Team was adjudged the overall winner of the competition. This team was also adjudged as winner of the Individual Category. The runner up of the programme was Mr. Riyad Rifai’s Team. Seylan Bank PLC Team, Amba Research Team and Faculty of Medicine Team garnered the winning positions in the Bank & Financial, Mercantile and Schools & Educational categories, respectively.

Sri Lankan Master Minds is an annual quiz competition organized by the Lions Club of Moratuwa - Ratmalana since 1993. The event, which is considered the icon project of this Club, has been bringing together young talent from the provinces island wide. The proceeds of this event are contributed to uplift and develop the less fortunate. Asian Alliance Insurance PLC was the co-sponsor of the Sri Lankan Master Minds 2007.
