Villa Ocean View Hotel in Wadduwa, the popular resort started its business from November for the winter traffic after a massive 200 million refurbishment.
Villa Ocean View Hotel in Wadduwa has always been a firm favourite among visitors in search of sun, sand and sea combined with high qualify facilities for rest and relaxation. This property is renowned for providing exactly what guests might be in search of from a fun-filled, active beach holiday to a perfectly calm and serene hideaway where they could have their fill of quality RGR.
The hotel closed for its biggest refurbishment and restructuring programme since last February, stepped into the business with a bag.
The newly refurbished and repositioned Villa Ocean View Hotel has added many new facilities such as new swimming pool, roof top bar and new villas with all modern facilities.
All 140 rooms including 73 villas and six suites, public areas and restaurant have been refurbished and upgraded. The rooms are up-graded with modern facilities such as cable TV, safety deposit boxes in all rooms and suites and modern amenities that complement refined living being added on.
In a bid to provide guests with an even better product, the owners of Villa Ocean View embarked on this refurbishing programme and upgrading existing facilities, to ensure they meet the demands of today's traveller.
'This refurbishment programme is now almost complete, and guests could be certain of an experience that would not only exceed their expectations, but also assure them of a stay in a resort hotel that offers them the highest international standards' said Ranjaka de Mel, Business Development Manager at Villa Ocean View Hotel.
He said that the hotel was closed from February 2 this year for the refurbishment.
'The extensive work involved in planning, designing, development and implementation of the project was done with infinite care given to every aspect, to ensure the high standard of the end product' said de Mel.
Enumerating the many plus points this property has, de Mel says one of the main attractions is the fact that Villa Ocean View Hotel has two swimming pools-one for residents and one for non-residents. 'This ensures there is no over-crowding at any time, he added.
He also stresses on the fact that Villa Ocean View Hotel is a mere 45 minutes drive away from the city of Colombo.
'Quick and easy accessibility makes the property popular among foreign, local and expatriate clients because it is only 26 km. away from the city'.
de Mel is confident that the upgraded facilities combined with the reputation that Villa Ocean View already has among clients, would contribute to this property growing even more in popularity and experiencing a good winter season, as operators would have a high quality product to market after today's re-launch.
