‘The Rashevski Tango’

Director Sam Garbarski's feature film directorial debut in 2003 with the family-comedy drama 'Le Tango des Rashevski' (The Rashevski Tango), a tale of one extended family's struggle to find meaning and identity within their own somewhat dormant Jewish heritage will be screened at Alliance Française on Tuesday, November 13 at 3.00 pm and Wednesday, November 14 at 6.30 pm.

Written by Philippe Blasband and Sam Garbarski it stars Hippolyte Girardot, Ludmila Mikael, Michel Jonasz, Daniel Mesguich and Nathan Cogan.

After Rosa's death, their grandmother and the Rashevski's are completely lost. They do not know how to bury her. She hated the religion, the rabbis, and yet she has reserved a place in the Jewish quarter of the cemetery.
