Biotech Centre feasibility tender still open – Serendib - Clarification

Serendib Horticulture Technologies Pvt. Ltd said this week it had erred in stating in a press release that the company had won a tender in Qatar.

With reference to the article that appeared in The Sunday Times FT of October 21 headlined ‘Serendib Horticulture wins Biotech Tender’, the company said it had incorrectly stated that it had been awarded the tender for a feasibility study for the Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Centre in Qatar.

“This tender is under negotiation and has not been awarded yet,” said Company Chairman Dilip de Silva.
